DENNINGTON Red skipper Ian Quigley is hoping to lift his side to a second victory today in round two of the Western District Bowls Association season.
The decorated player will take on City Memorial Green which also had a win last weekend.
Despite Quigley's rink losing the opening round match against Warrnambool Blue, the other Dennington Red rinks carried the team to a 33-shot win. He said player absences were making it hard to secure a stable team.
"We've got a few changes from normal, with people being away. We need to get settled," he said.
Quigley's rink members are Graham Taylor as leader, Darren King second and Barry Crimmin third.
"We are looking for a win, but everyone has to play up to their expectations," Quigley said.
City Memorial Green will hope for an easier win against Dennington Red after a narrow five-shot victory over City Memorial Gold last weekend.
In other matches today City Memorial Red will take on Timboon Gold, with Timboon hoping to come back from a thumping last weekend.
Warrnambool Gold is aiming to retain top position, while Port Fairy Red will look for its first win.
A defeat over Warrnambool Blue will make it two wins in a row for Terang Green, while City Memorial Gold and Dennington White will be endeavouring to record their first wins of the season.
